Equine Hydrotherapy Sessions and Residential Stays
We are thrilled to introduce the state-of-the-art ECB Aqua Treadmill at Yorkshire EC, enhancing our facilities to support horse training and rehabilitation.
The ECB Aqua Treadmill, made with premium British materials and advanced safety features, allows for safe, supervised, and controlled workouts. Whether your horse needs muscle and core strength rebuilding after injury or enhanced fitness for any discipline, our treadmill offers flexible training options tailored to your horse's specific needs. These plans can be created in collaboration with your vet or physio.
The treadmill’s adjustable incline offers a range of workout options, including fresh, saltwater, and dry sessions, with consistent water quality ensured by an advanced filtration system and nightly self-cleaning.
Yorkshire EC prioritises biosecurity, regularly disinfecting the facility with Equine Bio Genie to ensure a clean environment.
Our staff, led by Director and Hydrotherapist Gemma Womersley, a member of IRVAP and IAAT, are trained in hydrotherapy and equine biomechanics, working with top specialists to meet your horse's needs.

Bespoke Stays
For horses needing longer treatments or even let us take care of them with our holiday cover.
Whether you're looking for single sessions that fit your schedule or a short stay to focus on consecutive sessions, we’re here to support both you and your horse.
We understand how challenging it can be when your horse is recovering from an injury or building fitness, especially without the right facilities. More so when winter weather approaches and finances can feel tight.
Did you know hydrotherapy may also be covered by your horse’s insurance?

As experience, qualified professionals in the industry - hydrotherapists, coaches, and horse owners ourselves - we understand the delicate balance required to develop and return a horse’s strength and performance. We offer tailored support and can collaborate with your physio, farrier, bodyworker, coach or vet to create a complete development plan suited to your horse’s needs.
We’ll track your horse’s progress throughout their sessions, and you can share this valuable data with your horse’s wider care team whenever necessary. Whether your horse is recovering from injury or you're looking to enhance their performance, we’re here to help every step of the way.

Hydrotherapy will benefit every single horse or pony, regardless of their age, size, or discipline.
Another MAJOR benefit is we work them in the dry, even when schools, walkers and fields are flooded or when the ground is summer solid!
Equine Hydrotherapy is perfect for
• Tendon & suspensory ligaments
• Degenerative joint disease, increases joint flexion
• Fitness with less concussion
• Kissing spine – Increases gap between dorsal spine processes

Supporting Leisure and Competition Horses
• Do you find comments such as these from Dressage Judges?
"On 3 tracks, incorrect bend to outside, needs more articulation of the joints, needs more sit, to work through back more?"
• Do you have a Showjumper that has more than the odd pole
down and feels clumsy?
• Is your horse fairly fit, but struggles to maintain a good canter around the school before falling back down to trot?
• Are you having saddle fit issues with tack slipping to one side and muscle asymmetries?
Other benefits that our clients have noticed
• Improved cadence and stride length
• Improved rein contact
• Improved push from behind and better behind over a fence
• No longer rushing to fences
• No longer “hollowed out” behind shoulder blade
• More topline and correction of muscle asymmetry
• Better neck development with less muscle underneath the neck
• Less stumbling/tripping
• Improvement in quality of hoof structure.
